Life is a series of ups and downs, twists and turns and sometimes it throws a huge curveball when you least expect it. Death, or a diagnosis of a terminal illness while abroad is very hard. Whether theses losses are in the country you are are living in or within your home country, bereavement coaching can help. I am no stranger to this situation having lost my mother and father while I was living abroad as an expat. Eventually I trained in the area of Grief to enable me to help others.
Being separated from an unwell family member creates feelings of not feeling being able to support as much as you would like. Feelings of guilt, frustration and hopelessness are common. It may be that you didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to your loved one.
Bereavement coaching offers:
- support during this difficult time
- ways of moving you gently back towards happiness again
- shows you how to cope with feelings of sadness, loss, and grief
- a way of developing your own alternative goodbye
You are guaranteed a safe and supportive space of working through your feelings.
